A large applicant pool means very little if the right person isn’t in it.
Real estate businesses often come to Christie after poor-quality applicants, unsuitable shortlists, high staff turnover or recruiters who don’t properly understand the industry.
Shortlists that look right on paper
A résumé can look right while the person, expectations or working style are wrong for the business. Christie also considers communication, motivation, personality and cultural alignment.
Interviews that go nowhere
A carefully qualified shortlist should save the hiring manager time, not create more work. Only candidates who genuinely fit the brief are presented.
People who don’t stay
Technical experience is only part of a placement. Culture, motivation, communication and expectations decide long-term fit.
One recruiter, from the first conversation to the new starter.
CJR is intentionally boutique. Every employer works directly with Christie throughout the recruitment process, from the initial brief to offer stage and beyond. No handoffs, no junior consultants managing your brief.
Before founding Christie James Recruitment in 2019, Christie led end-to-end recruitment as HR & Recruitment Manager at Ray White Surfers Paradise Group, then spent six years as a real estate recruitment specialist at Recruitloop.
The brief. Christie starts with the vacancy, team structure, leadership style, culture and what success in the role really looks like.
The search. Her network, direct approach and candidate relationships, plus the right advertising channels for the role.
The shortlist. Experience is one part. Communication, motivation, expectations and cultural fit are the rest. The goal is a considered shortlist, not volume.
After the offer. Christie stays involved through interviews, feedback, offer negotiation and the move into the new role.
I have been working with Christie for almost 5 years. Christie has always been a great resource for our business and has been extremely helpful for McGrath over the years.
I would like to sincerely thank Christie for finding us our new BDM who has proved to be amazing! The understanding of my business and culture, and the additional advice above and beyond her role was fantastic. I would not hesitate to recommend Christie and look forward to working with her in the future
Christie was once again a valuable resource for us while recruiting a suitable Corporate PA for our team. We have so much confidence in Christie as she has a wonderful talent to select the right applicants for the role. Her service has always been exemplary and we always enjoy our dealings with her.
